State University of California at Dominges

Carson has a campus at California State University Dominguez. The majority of students at the California State University Dominguez School are home students, with many African-American students from nearby Long Beach, Gardena and Compton. The university was set up in response to protests in 1965 during the Watts Riot, in the suburbs of South Los Angeles, over how little opportunity for black people to be educated. Today, the campus has the highest racial diversity in the United States. Before the mid-1960s when the population grew explosively, the university was near Paros Bardes. In 1965, the city was chosen as the relocation destination for the university. Other candidates for relocation were Friendship Park, Fort MacArthur, Torrance and so on.

The city is based in Los Angeles Galaxy, where David Beckham belonged, and there is a stub hub center that is also used as a venue for the national soccer team in the United States. The Los Angeles Sol women's football club (which was dissolved in 2010) and the Club Deportivo Chivas USA (which was dissolved in 2014), where Suke KAJI was transferred in 2014, were once home. Tennis Stadium and track and field facilities are also established, and JP Morgan/Chase Tennis Tournament is held every year. The stadium was built in 2003 next to the University of California, Domingues. There is also a bicycle stadium named ADT Event Center, which is the only permanent indoor bicycle stadium in the United States.

The city has a terminal station for Goodyear's soft airship. In 1910 and 1911, the first and second aviation show in the United States was held at Dominges Hills, where many Blinp (soft airships) and Zeppelin (rigid airships) flew around. The International Museum of Printing is a museum that collects old printing machines from across the United States and is one of the largest in the world.

Carson Mall (now South Bay Pavilion) is a shopping mall opened in 1973.

climate

The climate of the Los Angeles basin is similar to that of the Los Angeles basin, and it is cool during the summer because it is close to the Pacific Ocean (10 km to 13 km). There is little rain during the summer, but it does not meet the minimum requirements for a step climate (BSh). Like most of the coastal areas of southern California, the city is under the influence of the phenomenon of "June Groom" from late spring to early summer. This is a phenomenon in which the sky is covered with fog and clouds for several hours after morning.

a former company

Nissan Motors had previously had its North American headquarters in Carson. There were 13 buildings on the 42-acre (17 hectares) site, and the total floor area of offices and factories was 65,000m2. One of the buildings was nine stories high and the Nissan logo was designed. Vincent Roger, a member of the Los Angeles Times, wrote, "It's a familiar scene for drivers passing through the intersection of Harbor Freeway and San Diego Freeway." In 2005, it was revealed that Nissan planned to move its office to Tennessee. In the summer of 2006, the headquarters of North American Nissan moved to Tennessee.

In the same year, Kearney Real Estate Company bought the site of Nissan for over $75 million. The site was divided to accommodate many companies. Cafeteria and fitness centers were also redesigned as offices. The Pedestorian Bridge, which Nissan's employees called "Hamster Lands," was also removed. By 2010, 11 companies will be on the site, and the number of employees will be 1,400. This number of employees is larger than the number of employees Nissan had owned. Kearney estimates the total price of the land and buildings will be $1 million.

shopping

There is a shopping mall called South Bay Pavilion near the exit of San Diego Freeway (Interstate Expressway Route 405) in Avalon Boulevard. Famous shops such as Sears, IKEA and Target and 24 hour fitness are included as tenants.

The construction of a power center entertainment facility called Carson Market Place has not yet been realized. The construction of the stadium was once proposed and could have been the home of the NFL team. The construction site, which used to be the final disposal site for toxic waste, has been in need of extensive environmental cleaning, which has led to a delay in construction.
